wood or lino is better than carpet

Wood or lino > carpet.

this is because of several reasons:

1) wood or lino does not require a vacuum cleaner to clean. not only does this mean less electricity use and is thus better for the environment but it also means that you don't have to invest in an expensive vacuum cleaner and use your money elsewhere.
2) wood or lino gives you a bruise if you skid along it whereas carpet gives you a flesh wound which will hurt in the shower
3) wood or lino does not stain from food etc
4) wood or lino looks more modern
5) wood or lino does not have risk of ticks or fleas
6) wood or lino doesn't catch dust etc and trigger allergic reactions
7) if you want carpet because it's more comfortable to walk on or something you can purchase a rug. there is no such thing as a lino or wooden rug. if you have wood or lino floors you also have the option of purchasing a carpet rug but not the other way around!
8) wood or lino is easy to mop and clean. you need to purchase a carpet cleaner or hire a professional to wash your carpet.
9) wood or lino will not get dust tan lines over the years (you'll know what I mean if you have a carpet floor and have had a sofa sitting on it for a long time. when you move the sofa you see a 'dust tan line' where the carpet that was covered by the sofa is lighter than the carpet that wasn't.
10) wood or lino does not dent when you put something heavy on it and leave an unattractive mark for the next person using your room
11) wood or lino is less expensive to install

For these above reasons I don't see why anyone would want to have carpet floors in their house. In addition to being more practical and cheap, it is also better for the environment and our health. Of course there will be controversy over which is more aesthetically pleasing but the fact remains that in the other areas wood or lino flooring is a much better choice for your home as opposed to carpet.

And no, I'm not just saying this because I had to vacuum the whole house this morning, whatever gave you that idea?

On a side note, I have a flight tonight at 11pm to shanghai so I won't be around for a while. enjoy your lives without me haha~

Standing on Old Girls' porch
We thought that it would last forever
And if we had a choice
Yeah, you know we'd all wanna stay here
This was the best month of my life

50 mosquito bites
7 sisters
5 lost socks
1 pair of lost long johns
2 guitars
1 river
2 tramps
1 freezing night in the bush
1 sea kayak
23 girls
8 instructors
28 days

There's my recount of my camp. It was life-changing and unforgettable. I don't think I can recount about it will do it justice, so I won't even try.

I don't think I've cried so much in my life. I don't know what it was, after hugging Mr W and him telling me 'Good luck with your future'... I had this sudden revelation that in my future, for the rest of my life, I would never again see any of these people who had changed it. They'd never see the results of their work and inspiration for me. I just broke down. As I walked back to the house to get my last few belongings I wasn't sure if I was crying or laughing. I was choking, kept getting air stuck in my windpipe. I hugged Gina and left. Because I was crying and I couldn't see straight I went to the right down the driveway and into the car instead of going straight and receiving my steph hug so I'm sorry steph. Seems like I'll never get one. Just bad coincidences. it's not meant to be ): I'll never get a steph hug.

I also forgot to pick up my confiscated goods worth $11 in cash. Thankfully kim got it for me. I'm glad someone remembered me.

I know everyone will forget me. That's ok. I think from now on I'm just going to try my best for myself.

Thank you and goodnight. Maybe I will do a recount later, maybe not. I don't feel like it right now.
